Brazil is a paradise for plant lovers and botanists. Its magnificent trees, beautiful flowers and enormous variations in edible fruits and nuts can enchant even those who are not interested in plants.

Threatened species in Brazil range from the mighty jaguar to butterflies. Scientists and local people are working hard to protect Brazilian ecosystems and endangered species of fauna and flora.

One of the delights of Brazil is the richness of its folklore. Dances, feasts, food, arts and crafts, superstitions, legends and theatre all draw inspiration from the cultural roots of Indian, African and European culture.
