The Bonita Stone is one of the highest summit at the Tijuca National Park - by some estimates, the largest urban forest in the world. The forest was devastated at the end of the 19th century and totaly recuperated later on. The Park is today operating like a natural air condition for Rio de Janeiro reducing the city’s medium temperature by approximately 9 degrees.
Grumari beach is an Environmental conservation area with many cliff walls and very brave seawaters. There is an extension of 4 km of beach and a sympathetic fisherman colony (they guarantee the fresh fish to the “made up” restaurants under the shadow of the trees.
Casa do Pontal Museum  - The museum stands in a pleasant country house and it is the largest museum of Brazilian Folk Art. Or you may choose to visit the Burle Max Cottage Extending over an area of 3,600 m², one of the most important landscapes artists of our times, Roberto Burle Marx, left this attraction as priceless legacy to the city and to all those who love and fight for nature protection and preservation.
