This is a tour for the ones who love history, wildlife and birdwatching.  Rivers, Mountains and waterfalls are everywhere. The place is a transition area of two biomes: the Cerrado, with its rich flora, and the Atlantic Rainforest with its unique fauna and lush vegetation frames the landscape.
The Caratinga Biological Station is a research camp for primates, many species lives here and inclusive the largest in South America the Woolly Spider Monkey. Also a very wide variety of endemic species of birds and animals can be observed. In Caratinga reserve we will take our time to spot the big primate groups and enjoy the experience of observing then, as other wildlife we will see during the time we spent there.

Program Summary
 

Day 1  - Belo Horizonte – Caratinga
Arrival in Belo Horizonte airport at 09:00, we leave to Caratinga. Lunch on the way. Check-in at the Vind's Hotel. If we have enough time and brightness, we visit the reserve. 
 
Day 2 and 3 - Caratinga Biological Station
For the next 2 days, we will explore the Caratinga Biological Station. We will plan our itinerary according to the wildlife. The researches of the Biological Station know where the animals are more concentrate what makes our chances of wildlife watching greater. The Caratinga is a very important Atlantic Forest preserved area in the State of Minas Gerais and Brazil, one of the few left in the entire country.  Here, we can observe, and get more information about habits and the interesting facts about the species of flora and fauna. During our visit to the station, we will spend our days in the field researching and taking our time to search for the best experiences and opportunities of spotting the animals. Return to hotel at the end of the afternoon.

Day 4 - Caratinga – Belo Horizonte
Buffet Breakfast. In the morning, we check-out and depart for Belo Horizonte, the capital and largest city in the State of Minas Gerais. Transfer to the airport or to the final destination.
