The Park is one of the largest reserves of  Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil and represents one of the most recent environmental protection areas in the state of Paraná. The Park contains an area of 185 000 hectares of subtropical rain forest.
During the General Assembly of UNESCO in Paris on 17th November 1986 the Iguassu National Park was declared a Human Heritage Site. Today, the region is the border among three countries: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, and can be reached by plane or roads. Iguaçu Falls, in the Iguaçu River, is, actually, a system of 275 falls along almost 5km (3.1mi.) in the Brazil-Argentina border. The highest fall is 64 meters (210ft.) high and the others have 30 to 40 meters (98 to 131mi.) high.

Program Summary

Day 1
Arrival at Iguassu airport, meet the guide and transfer to Hotel das Cataratas. Check in. Afterwards, tour to Brazilian side of the falls for about 2 hours; On the way back, stop to do the Macuco safari boat tour, that will take you to a wet and close view of the Falls. Back to the hotel and dinner at your own. Overnight.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour to Argentinean side of the Falls. Stop on the way to have lunch on your own. Arrival back to the hotel at 14:00. Free afternoon for relaxing with the option to walk around the park; Dinner at your own, overnight at Hotel das Cataratas.

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Get ready for checking out and meet the guide for transfer to the airport before noon, according to your flight schedule.
